Julie Svěcená is an active, young violinist, regularly invited to play with several orchestras (Czech Radio Orchestra, Moravian Philharmonic, etc.) since winning the first prize at the International Radio Competition Concertino Prague in 2010. Having started studying the violin at the age of four, she graduated from the Prague Conservatory in 2013. She is currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London with Rodney Friend, and has benefited from master classes with Maxim Vengerov, Ida Haendel and Boris Kushnir.
